What is Opsview?

Opsview® is the award winning open source application, network and infrastructure monitoring software from Opsera. It provides comprehensive system management capabilities used to monitor the health of today’s most complex data centres. Launched in 2003, it is a well established and fully featured product suite with a large worldwide user community.

Opsview was awarded the Product Excellence award for Best System Management Tool at LinuxWorld Expo in San Francisco in August 2008.

Opsview is a fully integrated monitoring suite built using a flexible, open architecture. It incorporates and builds on popular Open Source software components including Nagios®. The Catalyst web framework is used to provide an extensible monitoring and configuration user interface. Opsview server software runs on Linux and Solaris 10. It will monitor all common operating systems including Linux, AIX, Solaris and Windows.

The Opsview Family Overview

Opsview is available in two editions – Opsview Community and Opsview Enterprise. Both editions consist of an integrated, tested and robust monitoring suite. Opsview Enterprise contains mature features, has a predictable release schedule and published road map. Opsview Enterprise is perfect for large, mission critical monitoring systems. Our Community edition is suitable for evaluating Opsview, trying out new features and for managing smaller data centre environments.

Both editions have the same functionality however new features are introduced in Opsview Community first so we can gather feedback and refine them.
